Privacy Policy
This policy explains what happens to your information when you visit snaxgames.com and play the browser games published on it. It covers this website only. Our mobile apps are covered by their own separate policies inside each app.
Snax Games is operated by Gamejam Technologies. If you have a question about anything below, email privacy@snaxgames.com.
What we collect
You do not need an account to play anything on Snax Games, and we do not ask you to register. The information we handle falls into three groups.
- Information you give us. If you send us a message through the contact form or sign up to be notified about new games, we receive the name, email address and message text you type in. That is used to reply to you or to send the notification you asked for, and nothing else.
- Information stored on your own device. Your display name, your saved preferences and your game scores are kept in your browser's local storage. They stay on your device, we cannot read them remotely, and clearing your browser data deletes them permanently.
- Information collected automatically. Like most websites, our analytics and advertising partners receive technical data when you visit: your IP address, browser and device type, the pages you open, how long you stay and which site referred you.
Cookies and similar technologies
We use cookies and local storage for three purposes: remembering your preferences between visits, measuring how the site is used so we know which games to build next, and serving advertising that keeps the games free.
You can delete or block cookies in your browser settings at any time. Blocking them will not stop you playing — it may reset your saved preferences and scores.
Analytics
We use Google Analytics to understand aggregate traffic patterns, such as which games are popular and where players drop off. We do not use it to identify individual people. You can opt out across all sites with Google's browser opt-out add-on.
Advertising
Snax Games is free because it is supported by advertising. We work with Google AdSense, and the following apply to how ads are served on this site.
- Third-party vendors, including Google, use cookies to serve ads based on your prior visits to this and other websites.
- Google's use of advertising cookies enables it and its partners to serve ads to you based on your visit to our site and other sites on the internet.
- You can opt out of personalised advertising by visiting Google Ads Settings, or opt out of third-party vendors' use of cookies at aboutads.info/choices.
- Where third-party vendors we do not control set their own cookies, their own privacy policies govern that use.
If you are in the EEA, UK or Switzerland
Visitors from these regions are shown a consent notice before any personalised advertising or non-essential cookies are used. You can accept, decline, or change your choice at any time through the same notice. Declining does not prevent you from playing; you will simply see non-personalised advertising instead.
Under the GDPR and UK GDPR you have the right to request a copy of the personal data we hold about you, to have it corrected or erased, to object to how we process it, and to withdraw consent. Email privacy@snaxgames.com and we will respond within 30 days.
Who we share data with
We do not sell your personal information. We share data only with the service providers that make the site work: Google (analytics and advertising), our email delivery provider for contact form messages, and our hosting and content delivery providers. Each processes data only to provide their service to us.
How long we keep it
Contact form messages are kept for up to 24 months so we can follow up on support history, then deleted. Analytics data is retained according to Google Analytics' standard retention window. Data stored in your browser stays until you clear it.
Children
Snax Games is intended for a general audience and is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, email privacy@snaxgames.com and we will delete it.
Changes to this policy
If we change how we handle your data we will update this page and revise the date at the top. Material changes will be announced on the site.
